Please read these terms carefully before using Maddox Research services or purchasing any product.

By accessing or using the Maddox Research website and services ("Services"), or by purchasing any product, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the Services or purchase any product.
These Terms form a binding agreement between you and Maddox Research ("we," "us," "our"). Your continued use after any change constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
Our products are research chemicals and reference materials intended solely for in-vitro laboratory research and analytical use by qualified persons. They are not drugs, dietary supplements, cosmetics, food, or medical devices, and they have not been evaluated or approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA).
No product is intended to diagnose, treat, cure, mitigate, or prevent any disease or condition in humans or animals.
Product descriptions, research summaries, and certificates of analysis on this site are provided for research reference only. Nothing on this site is a recommendation, instruction, protocol, or dosing guidance for use in humans or animals, and we do not provide medical advice or usage instructions.
By placing an order, you represent and warrant that:
- You are at least 21 years of age (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction, whichever is greater).
- You are purchasing products solely for lawful laboratory research use, and you — or the organization you represent — are qualified to handle research chemicals safely.
- You will not use any product in or on humans or animals, and you will not sell, give, or supply any product to anyone for that purpose.
- You will handle, store, and dispose of products in accordance with applicable law and standard laboratory safety practices, including appropriate personal protective equipment, and keep them out of reach of children and animals.
- Purchasing and possessing these products is lawful where you are located and where they will be delivered.
We may refuse, cancel, or refund any order, or suspend any account, at our discretion or where required by law — including where we reasonably believe a product is intended for human or veterinary use, or where an order or communication references personal use, dosing, or administration.
We work to supply independently tested products and make certificates of analysis available where applicable. A certificate of analysis reflects testing of a specific batch and is provided for research reference.
Product information is provided in good faith for research reference only. We make no representation that any product is suitable for any particular research application, and we do not guarantee any research outcome.
You agree not to use the Services or any product to:
- Administer any product to, or use any product in or on, any person or animal.
- Market, label, or represent any product as a drug, supplement, food, or cosmetic, or as suitable for human or veterinary use.
- Resell, redistribute, or transfer any product to another person.
- Misrepresent your identity, age, qualifications, or intended use.
- Violate any local, state, federal, or international law, including laws governing controlled substances, drugs, and import or export.
- Use any product in sanctioned athletic competition.
- Provide any product to a minor.
Violations may result in order cancellation, termination of access, legal action, and reporting to appropriate authorities.
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Maddox Research and its owners, employees, and agents from any claims, losses, damages, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of your use or misuse of any product — including any use in humans or animals — or your violation of these Terms or applicable law.
Prices are shown at checkout before you are charged. Pricing may change; the price shown at the time of a transaction governs it.
Because research materials cannot be restocked once shipped, sales are generally final except where a verified error occurs on our part or as required by law.
We ship only to addresses in jurisdictions where shipment of these products is lawful. Estimated delivery times are approximate and not guaranteed.
Many products require specific storage conditions. It is your responsibility to inspect products on receipt and store them as indicated on the product and its documentation.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE SERVICES, ALL CONTENT, AND ALL PRODUCTS ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND. WE DISCLAIM IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
WE ARE NOT LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING PERSONAL INJURY OR ADVERSE EFFECTS ARISING FROM ANY USE OF A PRODUCT CONTRARY TO THESE TERMS. Our total liability will not exceed the amounts you paid to us in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.
Our handling of your information is governed by our Privacy Policy, incorporated by reference. We handle your information with appropriate safeguards.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute will be resolved by binding arbitration on an individual basis, except where you may bring a qualifying claim in small claims court; venue for any non-arbitrable matter is in the Commonwealth of Virginia.
We may update these Terms; the "Last Updated" date reflects the latest version, and continued use constitutes acceptance.
